In a nutshell, following a near death experience in the Indian jungle in my early 20s, I would simply consider myself an ‘agent of change’, deeply driven to transform the lives of others.
It’s a long story, but this traumatic experience galvanised my growth, both personally and professionally, and I would soon become a chartered psychologist, a registered psychotherapist and then leadership coach. Over the years, as a researcher and writer, I have published extensively and lectured internationally, and sit on the Editorial Board of the Transactional Analysis Journal (TAJ). I have taken in-depth trainings in coaching and psychotherapy trainings in Authentic Leadership Development (ALD), Person-centred Counselling, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT / CBT), NLP, and am a Certified Transactional Analyst.
Before qualifying in the helping professions I worked in education, social work, & Local and Central Government management in the United Kingdom, including the Department for Justice. Since then, and for almost 30 years I have been enabling the growth of individuals and organisations – through coaching, training, consultancy and therapy – throughout Europe, Asia and America.
Now based in Vienna, with my wife and teenage children, I work closely in coaching staff and senior management at the United Nations and The World Bank, while retaining a small psychotherapy practice (face-to-face and online).
My specialisms include:
- Expat Counselling
- Leadership & Success Mindset Coaching and Mentoring
- Loss & Bereavement Therapy
- Relationships Therapy & Mediation
- ADHD & Autism Coaching
- LGBTQ+ Therapy
